It was a pleasure to work on some scores for the Björk show at the Royal Albert Hall September 2016. Andrew Gourlay conducted the excellent Aurora Orchestra in a set including songs from Vulnicura and a great selection of back catalogue. A highlight for me was the song Pluto – now for strings!
I was excited to get invited to play at MMF 2015, here are some pics. Thanks to everyone that made it possible.
Last year I recorded some excellent live shows for the UK Jazz trio Phronesis. The concerts were in the round which always brings its own challenges, but with the help of Alex Killpatrick we got some really good results and the best tracks from 3 nights were chosen to go on the album.
The record came out on Edition records in Arpil 2014.
On June 11th I played a show with Björk at the Hollywood Bowl. Strangely the only association I have with this venue is Monty Pythons 1982 gig there. A classic which I owned on VHS for many years. Björk’s show had more pyro though.
In 2012 I produced two albums for Manu Delago. One, called Manuscripts, includes some live recordings I made at LSO St Lukes in London, with the LSO strings and a host of other instruments, including wind up toys, tooth-brushes, two marimbas and a dining table!
Here’s an article about it:
It was a great concert, and a DVD will be available in the future which gives an insight into the process.
The album comes out on Nov 26th and also includes a piece Manu wrote for hang and the Graduali Nobile Choir from Iceland.
Thanks to the tech team at LSO St Lukes for being so accommodating, and making the evening run without a hitch.
The second album is being mastered and should be completed in a month or so.

Lots of System m100m on this as well as the growing Eurorack collection!
I recently co produced Ivo Neame’s latest record, Yatra. It’s always excellent working with Ivo, he is a fabulously talented writer and performer. I enjoyed the following quote from a BBC music review: “Yatra burns with an extremely organised energy, and seethes with cerebral passion. It marks Neame’s ascent to a stratospheric level as composer, arranger and bandleader.” Couldn’t have put it better myself!
You can read that review here
And there’s additional info here
The album was recorded at Fishfactory Studios in London
A few audience shots from Bestival with Björk
I worked with the excellent choir Graduale Nobili from Iceland for this tour, putting together arrangements with Björk.
Recording at Air Lyndhurst and RAK in London for the Gallows record “Grey Britain”
